    Shortbread: Squares

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 pound butter , (no substitues), softened
    • 1 cup sifted confectioner's sugar
    • 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup cornstarch


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

    2. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.

    3. Combine flour and cornstarch; gradually add to the creamed mixture.

    4. Pat into an ungreased 15"x10"x1" baking pan (jelly roll pan).

    5. Piece several times with a fork.Bake at 325 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until lightly browned. Cut while warm
