    2/3 cup sugar
    1 tablespoon cornstarch
    1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
    3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    4 apples peeled, cored and thinly sliced
    1 20-ounce can pineapple chunks, drained

    3/4 cup rolled oats
    1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    1/4 cup butter or margarine
    3/4 cup chopped almonds

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray a 1-1/2 quart casserole with non-stick vegetable spray.

    In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar, cornstarch, lemon rind, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add apples and pineapple; toss well to coat. Turn into prepared casserole; set aside.

    In a medium bowl, combine rolled oats, flour, and brown sugar. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Stir in almonds. Sprinkle evenly over the top of the fruit.

    Bake for 30 minutes. Cover loosely with aluminum foil. Bake 15 minutes longer or until apples are tender. Serve warm.
