Pudding: McNulty's Bread Pudding

1 loaf French Bread
1 quart half and half
3 eggs
3/4 stick margarine or butter
1/2 cup light brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
Recipe
Melt butter, add cream , sugar, and cinnamon. Blend with whisk until warm over medium heat.
Pour over broken-up pieces of bread in small bowl. Beat 3 eggs and pour over french breadmixture. Fold in. Add 1 cup raisins and fold in with hands. Put into baking dish and sprinkle with 1/4 cup white sugar and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon. Dot with 1 Tbsp. butter cut into tiny pieces.
Bake at 350 in shallow pan with 1 inch water for 1 1/2 hour or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Sauce
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup butter
Heat until melted and add 1 cup white sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla heat until sugar dissolves.
