    Pudding: Orange Chocolate Croissant Pudding

    List of Ingredients

    2 croissants (let them sit for a day or two in a bag out on the counter) - good, buttery, flaky croissants
    50g dark chocolate (chopped or broken)
    2 tsp orange zest or orange flavor
    3 cups milk

    Recipe

    Over medium heat warm milk and orange zest (or extract) in a pan until it begins to froth.

    Take milk off the stove and pour into a large, deep bowl.

    Pull apart croissants into large pieces and place in warm milk
    Let sit for 15 to 20 minutes.

    In a greased loaf pan (individual ramekins can be used as well) start layering croissants.

    In between layers sprinkle chocolate pieces, keep layering
    Leave an inch at the top (pudding puffs up in oven).

    Pour remaining milk over.

    Bake in the oven for 20 to 30 minutes at 350 F.


    Serve warm with a bit of crème anglaise or straight with a cup of coffee for breakfast.
