Torte: Double Decadent Brownie Torte

1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 cup semisweet chocolate morsels
1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped walnuts
Chocolate Glaze (below)

Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9-inch cake pan with non-stick vegetable spray.
In a large saucepan, combine butter and corn syrup; heat, stirring often, until butter is melted. Stir in chocolate morsels; stir until melted. Add sugar and eggs, stirring until well blended. Stir in vanilla, flour, and walnuts. Pour into prepared cake pan.
Bake for 30 minutes or until center springs back when lightly touched. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove from pan; cool completely on a wire rack. Frost top and sides with Chocolate Glaze; garnish with sliced strawberries.
CHOCOLATE GLAZE
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate morsels
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 tablespoon corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a small saucepan, combine chocolate morsels, butter, and corn syrup; heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate melts. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla.
