Lebanese: Mujadarra (Lentils)

List of Ingredients
1 cup lentils, washed
1 teaspoon salt
4 cups water
4 tablespoons olive oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup rice
1/3 teaspoon pepper
Recipe
Cook over medium heat 1 cup lentils in 4 cups water for about 20 minutes.
In the meantime, saut� the onions in oil until lightly browned and add to the lentils.
Add rice and seasonings and cook until rice is done, about 15 or 20 more minutes.
