    Recipe Introduction


    Use any fresh fruit that is ripe and delicious in this easy recipe. The buttermilk makes it taste rich and creamy, without a lot of fat.


    List of Ingredients




    4 cups buttermilk
    1 cup sugar
    1 tsp. almond extract or vanilla extract
    1/8 tsp. salt
    3 cups prepared fresh fruit, cut into chunks or slices


    Recipe



    Mix buttermilk, sugar, extract and salt in large bowl. Gently stir in fruit. Pour into an ungreased 9" square pan, cover tightly, and freeze until firm, about 3-4 hours. Let stand at room temperature 10-15 minutes before cutting. Serves 12.
