    Compota de Peras

    List of Ingredients

    2 lb pears
    1/2 lb sugar
    2 cup water
    1 stick cinnamon
    1/2 lemon for grated zest

    Recipe

    Peel and core the pears.

    Place in pot with remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.

    Cook 10-15 minutes, until the pears are very soft but still hold their shape.

    Serve warm or at room temperature with some of the cooking syrup.
