Misc: Lavender Water

List of Ingredients
For centuries, lavender has been valued for its ability to repel insects and to ease stress, anxiety, and depression. But it is most prized for its aromatic properties and can be placed in drawers, heated as a potpourri, or mixed with water to impart a sweet scent to bed linens and other fabrics.
Recipe
Lavender water is readily available in bath shops, but it’s simple and less expensive to mix your own at home. Obtain a bottle of lavender oil from an herbal or health-food store, and mix a 1/2 teaspoon of it with 1 ounce of vodka and 16 ounces of distilled water; the vodka helps the oil and water to mix and prevents the oil from going bad. Place the mixture into a bottle, and use a spritz or shaker top to spray, being sure to shake the bottle well before each use.
