    1/4 cup whole cloves
    1/4 cup allspice
    2 tablespoons mace
    3 tablespoons celery seed
    1/4 cup mustard seed
    6 tablespoons whole black pepper
    3 tablespoons turmeric
    1/4 cup white ginger root
    1 1/2 gallons cider vinegar
    2 cups sugar

    Place these ingredients in jugs or fruit jars. Slice and add for 24 hours:4 or more cloves garlic Cork the jugs or screw down the jar lids tightly. The vinegar is ready for use in 3 weeks. An excellent, if deceptive mixture. It tastes like a delicious blend of herbs, but it is flavored with spices whole or ground. If ground spices are used, filter the vinegar before using it. Combine, stir and heat slowly until just under the boiling point.
