How to Clean Scorched Pots and Pans

    Source of Recipe

    B. Smith
When it comes to removing stubborn stains from pots and pans, some of the best solutions are simple household ingredients.

Use 1 tablespoon of baking soda, and 2 cups of water. Pour the solution into a stained or burned pan and let it soak.

You can also make a baking soda paste for some of the really tough stains. Sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda on the spot, and add just enough water to moisten it. Let it sit for awhile, and then use a soft plastic scrubber to work the spot out.

Another suggestion is to sprinkle some coarse salt on your pan. Cut a lemon in half, and use the lemon as your "scrubber," working it around the pan in a circular motion.

Finally, you can make a solution of a tablespoon of white vinegar and two cups of water - pour it into your pan and let it soak.
