    LAUNDRY---

Blood Stains: Pour hydrogen peroxide and watch the blood stain vanish. P. Martinez

Regular table salt will soak up blood without damaging most fabrics. If the stain is dry, wet the area with a moist paper towel and sprinkle salt directly onto stain. Be careful not to scrub very hard on delicate fabrics. If the blood stain is still wet, pour salt directly on and use a moist paper towel to pick up the salt. Repeat until the blood is gone. Courtney, NV

Colors: To avoid colors from running on new clothing, just soak in cold water and one-half cup of salt for 30 minutes. Works everytime. M. Walker, GA

This works even after the item has been thru the dryer cycle: Simply apply baking soda (yes) to spot, cover with a towel or brown paper bag, and iron over spot. The oil stain will disappear as it is absorbed by the baking soda. Sharon, NY

Sprinkle baby powder over the stain and leave until it absorbs the grease or oil 15 to 25 minutes, then shake or rub of and wash as usual. P. Martinez

Stains (General): Rub blue Dawn Liquid Detergent straight onto the spot and wash it in the washing machine. Do not use hot water or the hot dryer until the stain comes out. The heat with set the stain. Sometimes it takes 2 washings to come out, but it always does. Linda, NV
