    Tips for Freezing Corn

    Choose tender sweet corn Remove husk and silk (hair) from corn. Rinse Water for blanching should be boiling/ place into blanching water for 3 minutes. Careful- Hot! Place into a rinse/ cooling water (a separate water container with ice cubes) for 2 minutes Remove to 2nd cooling water for 2 minutes Drain- pack into freezer bags for corn/ *corn on the cob- large bags *whole kernel- cut away kernels from cob and fill pint or quart bags to your size of portions Freeze immediately Enjoy later! Cob corn is more difficult to freeze than whole kernel.
