"If you’re a bird enthusiast and maintain a number of feeders, don’t forget to put out a portion of suet for your feathered friends. The fat that collects around the organs of animals, suet offers birds an abundance of protein and is available at most grocery stores. To prepare the suet, place it in a pot, and allow it to melt and come to a boil, keeping an eye on the heat so that it doesn’t burn. Once it has liquefied, add a seed mixture, allow it to harden, and place it outdoors for the birds."
