Grand Marnier Ice Cream

6 egg yolks
1/4 cup white sugar
2 cups whole milk
3 tablespoons Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge
A dash of red food color

In a non-reactive saucepan, place milk and Grand Marnier, bring to boil on high heat.
In a large bowl, whisk together yolks and sugar until the mixture become pale and fluffy.
Pour gradually boiling milk on the top, whisk until blended. Add dash of red food color to obtain a beautiful pink color, pour in a clean saucepan, and cook stirring continuously over medium heat. Cook until thicken, but do not boil!
Strain into a clean bowl, set on ice bath, to cool down, when cold pour into the canister of an ice cream maker. Stir the ice cream every 15 minutes from the freezer. Eat at once or transfer to a covered container and freeze up to 8 hours.
