"I don't know where mother, Iona Ellison (a long-time member of Wood County REA), got this ice cream recipe," writes Nancy Langford of Panola-Harrison EC. "However, I remember family and friends gathering at our home when I was a very small child to enjoy this mouth-watering treat. We would sometimes make three or four freezers, and none was ever left. People always asked for this recipe, but no one thought theirs was as good as mother's. After I married, I got this recipe and my family and friends have enjoyed this ice cream many times over the years. My five grandchildren love it! Mother's recipe calls for two cans of evaporated milk, but I adapted the recipe for my family."
