Spinach, Bacon and Onion Spaghetti

8 - 10 oz spaghetti
1 lb leafy spinach, fresh or frozen, thawed
2 - 3 onions
5 oz smoked bacon
salt, black pepper
nutmeg
good 1/3 cup single cream (optional)
Recipe
Dice the bacon and fry together with the shredded onions on rather low heat, so that the fat melts out and the onion becomes soft.
The bacon should be something between soft and crisp .
Drain well on paper towels.
Thaw and heat up the spinach and mix with onions and bacon, or thaw and heat directly in the frying pan.
Flavor with black pepper and nutmeg, then mix with the boiled pasta.
If you wish, pour over some single cream for more "sauce".
