    Pasta with Bacon, Garlic, Cream & Peas

    List of Ingredients




    1 lb. pasta (penne or other)
    1 t salt
    1 t olive oil
    ¼ lb. bacon, diced
    2 T minced garlic
    ½ c dry white wine
    1 ½ c heavy cream
    ½ c Romano cheese
    1 c frozen peas
    2 lrg. tomatoes, diced

    Recipe



    Cook pasta in boiling water with salt and peas. Drain and toss with olive oil. In large frying pan, sauté bacon until crisp. Remove bacon to paper towel. In bacon grease, add and sauté garlic 2-3 min., then add tomatoes, and cook 1-2 min. Add wine, cook 3-4 minutes more. Add cream and cook 4-5 min. Then add ½ of cheese and season with salt and pepper. Add pasta and toss with sauce. Then add the rest of cheese and bacon, toss well. Serve with fresh basil as a garnish.
