This recipe is circa 1950's


List of Ingredients




3 eggs, beaten
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup sugar
1 cup buttermilk
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
5 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon baking soda
4 cups flour


Recipe



Mix together ingredients in order given. Fill donut maker. Drop into hot fat, turn immediately, then again as they appear to crack and bubble out on the edges.
