Dog: Mashed Potato Balls

List of Ingredients

8 cups of mashed potatoes
2 tablespoon of chopped Italian parsley
Salt
Freshly ground black pepper
4 egg of yolks
4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
2 teaspoons of paprika



Recipe

Preheat the oven to 400° F. and oil a large baking dish.

Place the potatoes, parsley, and salt and pepper to taste in a mixing bowl; stir until well mixed. Add egg yolks and mix well.

Shape into balls the size of walnuts and place in baking dish. Dot tops with butter, sprinkle lightly with paprika, and bake for about 10 minutes, or until browned.

You can make about 80 potato balls with this recipe.


Note:
Generations of working sheep-dogs have been continued on a potato diet, yet many people mistakenly consider that potatoes are damaging to dogs. Canines principally love baked potato skins, which are an excellent snack. When preparing potatoes, be sure to cut out any growing sprouts or green areas which possibly will contain toxic material.
