    Cranberry: Barnstable Cranberry Pie

    List of Ingredients


    • 3 cups cranberries
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 egg, lightly beaten
    • Pastry for 9"inch two-crust pie


    Instructions


    1. Make your pie crust. Line 9" pie plate with pastry.

    2. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

    3. Chop cranberries (I use the food processor) and mix with sugar. Add egg and mix well.

    4. Add the cranberry mixture to the pie plate.

    5. With second piece of pastry, lattice the pie. Firts strips go north and south and the next, east and west until the pie is covered. Moisture edges of the crust with a little milk so that the lattice strips will stay in place.

    6. Bake for 10 minutes at 450 degrees and then reduce eat to 350 degrees until crust is well browned, about 30 minutes.
