4 envelopes active dry yeast
4 cups lukewarm water (105°F)
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1-1/2 tablespoons salt
3/4 nonfat dry milk
10 cups bread flour
Savory Filling (below)
Grease a large bowl; set aside.
Recipe
In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in water with sugar; let stand until foamy, about 5 minutes. Add oil, salt, dry milk, and 4 cups flour; beat until smooth. Add enough remaining flour to make a stiff dough. Turn out onto a well floured board; knead 8 to 10 minutes or until smooth and elastic. Place on prepared bowl; grease top lightly. Cover; let rise in a warm, draft-free place until doubled, about 1 hour.
Spray 4 large baking sheets with non-stick vegetable spray.
Pinch off egg-sized pieces of dough; shape into circles. Place a heaping tablespoon Savory Filling in center. Pinch to seal. Place on prepared baking sheets; grease tops lightly. Cover; let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown
SAVORY FILLING---
7-1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1/2 head cabbage, chopped
In a large saucepan, brown meat; drain off excess fat. Stir in onion and cabbage.
