Entree: Lattice Topped Chicken Pie

1 10-3/4 ounce can cream of potato soup
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 cups cooked, cubed chicken
1 pound frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 can French fried onions
1 4-ounce package refrigerator crescent rolls
Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray a 12x8-inch baking pan with non-stick vegetable spray.
Recipe
In a large mixing bowl, combine soup, milk, Italian seasoning, chicken, vegetables, 1/2 cup cheese, and 1/2 can onions; toss lightly to mix. Pour into prepared baking pan. Cover tightly with aluminum foil.
Bake for 20 minutes. Remove from oven. Remove aluminum foil.
Unwrap the crescent rolls; separate into two rectangles. Overlap perforated cuts; press to seal. Cut each rectangle lengthwise into 3 strips. Place the strips on casserole to form a lattice top.
Bake for 15 minutes longer. Top the lattice with remaining cheese and onion; continue baking 3 to 5 minutes or until onions are golden brown.
