    Ham: Green Bean Ham Casserole

    List of Ingredients




    1 can (1 lb.) green beans
    1 1/2 cups liquid
    3 Tbsp flour
    1/2 tsp salt
    2/3 cup instant nonfat dry milk
    3 Tbsp butter
    2 cups chopped, cooked ham*
    2 hard cooked eggs, chopped
    1 tsp finely chopped onion
    1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

    Preheat oven to 350 F. Butter a 2-quart baking dish. Drain green beans, reserve liquid and add enough water to make 1 1/2 cups. Place liquid in sauce pan. Sprinkle mixed flour, nonfat dry milk, and salt on top of liquid - stirring until well mixed. Cook over low heat until thick. Blend in butter until it dissapears. Remoce from heat. Fold in ham, green beans, hard cooked eggs, and onion - turn into casserole - cover with cheese. Bake 20-35 minutes.


    *Note: Chopped cooked fish or chicken may be used.

    SERVES 6
