    Poultry: Barbecued Chicken

    List of Ingredients

    50 split chicken breasts or chicken pieces

    Barbecue Sauce:
    2 teaspoons garlic powder
    1 cup margarine; melted
    1 cup onions; chopped fine
    2 cups brown sugar
    2 teaspoons salt
    1 tablespoon prepared mustard
    1 tablespoon paprika
    2 teaspoon white pepper
    1/2 cup worcestershire sauce
    1/2 cup lemon juice; bottled
    4 cups catsup
    1-1/2 quarts water; use chicken drippings as part
    4 tablespoons cornstarch; dissolved in 1 cup of the water



    Recipe

    Lightly salt and lay chicken pieces close together in greased baking pans. Cover and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and drain drippings. Spoon barbecue sauce over chicken and bake uncovered 30 to 40 minutes or until browned.

    TO MAKE SAUCE: Mix ingredients and let come to a hard boil. Simmer 20 minutes. Makes 1 gallon.

    YIELD: 50 Servings
