    Dessert: Belgian Waffles - 6

    List of Ingredients

    4 eggs
    1 1/2 cups buttermilk
    2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
    2 tablespoons sugar
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon McCormick Ground Cinnamon
    1/8 teaspoon McCormick Nutmeg
    6 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
    Honey Spice Butter or strawberries and whipped cream to serve, if desired

    Recipe

    1. Beat eggs in large bowl until light. Stir in buttermilk.

    2. Sift flour with sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add to egg mixture gradually, beating with electric mixer until smooth.

    3. Continue beating while slowly adding melted butter.

    4. Cook in preheated electric or manual Belgian waffle iron.

    5. Serve with Honey Spice Butter or strawberries and whipped cream.

    TIP: Batter can be made ahead of time, covered and refrigerated up to 24 hours.


    YIELD: Makes 4 cups batter, 4 to 6 waffles
