    Recipe Introduction

This Philadelphia-style cheesesteak stromboli is a real family pleaser! A roll of refrigerated pizza dough makes it easy.

    List of Ingredients

6 sandwich steaks (like Steak-Umms), cut into strips
    1 onion, chopped
1 4 ounce can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
    1 roll refrigerated pizza dough
    2 tablespoons Italian salad dressing
    6 slices provolone cheese

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

In a large skillet, cook sandwich steaks until they start to exude their fat. Add onions and mushrooms and cook, stirring and chopping with a spatula, until the meat is cooked and the onions are tender. Drain. Allow to cool to room temperature.

Unroll pizza dough onto a rimmed cookie sheet. Flatten it and shape into a rectangle. Brush the dough with the Italian dressing, leaving a 1/2 inch margin of dough uncovered. Spread cooled steak mixture over the dough, distributing it evenly. Top evenly with the provolone slices.

Roll up the dough, jelly roll style, starting with the long side. Pinch the seams to seal and place the seam side down. Pinch both ends of roll to seal.

Bake for about 25 - 30 minutes, or until the roll is golden brown. Cut into slices to serve.

    Yield: 4 servings.
