    Dessert: Brandied Cream Sauce

    List of Ingredients




    1/2 pint light cream
    5 egg yolks, beaten
    1/4 cup white sugar
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    1/4 cup brandy
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1/2 pint heavy cream, whipped

    Recipe



    Mix first 4 ingredients together in top of double boiler.
    Cook, stirring over hot (not boiling) water until mixture coats spoon.
    Remove form heat, and stir in brandy and vanilla.
    Cover, and chill.
    Fold in whipped cream just before serving.
    Yield: 3 1/2 cups.
