Classic: Raisin Sauce

2 c. raisins
1/2 Tbsp. salt
1/4 c. cornstarch
3/4 qt. hot water
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. lemon juice
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 lb. butter
Recipe
Combine 2 cups raisins with salt and cornstarch. Stir
in hot water and cook until thick. Gradually stir in sugar,
lemon juice and cinnamon. Add butter and bring to a boil.
Serve on desserts or over sliced ham.
