    Stuffing: Ann's Turkey Dressing or Poultry Stuffing

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup chopped celery
    • 1/2 cup chopped onions
    • 1/4 cup butter
    • 1/2 cup bacon fat drippings
    • 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
    • 1 can (10 ounce) condensed cream of mushroom soup
    • 1 Loaf good quality white bread -break or cut it into 1 inch cubes


    Instructions


    1. Cook celery, onion and poultry seasoning in the butter and bacon fat until vegetables are tender.

    2. Add the can of condensed soup.

    3. Mix lightly, adding the bread pieces.

    4. Stuff bird or bake in 325 F. oven for 25 minutes. Cover with foil (after first 15 min.) if top starts to crisp.



    Final Comments


    This recipe makes about 4 cups of stuffing -- enough to stuff a 5-6 pound chicken. You'll need to double the recipe if you're planning to stuff a large turkey.
