Stuffing: Ann's Turkey Dressing or Poultry Stuffing

List of Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup bacon fat drippings
- 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1 can (10 ounce) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 Loaf good quality white bread -break or cut it into 1 inch cubes
Instructions
- Cook celery, onion and poultry seasoning in the butter and bacon fat until vegetables are tender.
- Add the can of condensed soup.
- Mix lightly, adding the bread pieces.
- Stuff bird or bake in 325 F. oven for 25 minutes. Cover with foil (after first 15 min.) if top starts to crisp.
Final Comments
This recipe makes about 4 cups of stuffing -- enough to stuff a 5-6 pound chicken. You'll need to double the recipe if you're planning to stuff a large turkey.
