    Asparagus: Italian Baked Asparagus

    List of Ingredients




    2 tablespoons of margarine or butter
    One 15 ounce can of extra long asparagus, drained
    2 tablespoons of finely chopped onion
    2 tablespoons of finely chopped celery
    1 medium tomato, sliced
    1/8 teaspoons of oregano leaves
    1/8 teaspoon of thyme leaves
    A dash of pepper
    1 tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 350ºF. While oven is heating, melt margarine in 10x6 inch (1 1/2 quart) baking dish in oven.

    Remove dish from oven. Place asparagus spears in bottom of dish.

    Sprinkle with onion and celery. Arrange tomato slices on top.

    Sprinkle with oregano and thyme leaves, pepper and cheese.

    Bake at 350ºF. for 15 to 20 minutes or until heated through.


    Makes 4 servings.
