    Stuffing: Dressing From The Heartland

    List of Ingredients

    1-1/2 Cups onion chopped
    1-1/2 Cups celery diced
    1-1/2 Cups green pepper diced
    1/2 Cup margarine
    12 Slices dried bread cubed
    1 Teaspoon poultry seasoning
    1 Teaspoon salt
    1/4 Teaspoon sage
    1/8 Teaspoon black pepper
    1/2 Cup TURKEY BROTH See Note

    Recipe

    In medium-size skillet, over medium-high heat, saute onion, celery and green pepper in margarine until tender.
    In large bowl combine onion mixture, bread cubes, poultry seasoning, salt, sage, pepper and broth. Mix well. Spoon dressing into lightly greased 2-quart casserole dish.
    Bake, covered, at 325 degrees F for 45 to 50 minutes. Uncover last 5 minutes of baking time.
    ** Note: Prepare turkey broth with giblets ahead of time and chill.

    YIELD: 8 Servings
