    Nuts: Ginger's Spiced Nuts

    List of Ingredients

    5 cups nuts of your choice (I used pecans)
    ¼ cup vegetable oil
    1 tbsp cumin
    ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
    ¼ cup sugar
    2 tsp salt


    Recipe

    1. Preheat oven to 300°. Place the nuts in a bowl. Pour the oil into a small, heavy saucepan & place over medium-low heat until warm.

    2. Add the cumin & cayenne & stir until the mixture is aromatic, about 15 seconds. Pour the flavored oil over the nuts. Add the sugar & salt & stir to coat evenly.

    3. Transfer the nuts to a large baking pan. Bake, stirring occasionally until the nuts are toasted, about 20 minutes.

    4. Store in an airtight container up to 2 weeks. Reheat in a 300° oven for about 5 minutes.
