    Nuts: Sweet Spiced Walnuts

    List of Ingredients

    1 egg white
    1 teaspoon cold water
    ¾ cup sugar
    ½ teaspoon cinnamon
    2 teaspoons soy sauce
    ½ teaspoon salt
    1 pound pecan or walnut halves



    Recipe


    Preheat oven to 300 F. Butter a 9x13-inch pan.

    Beat egg white until stiff. Add water, sugar, cinnamon, soy sauce and salt. Stir well. Add nuts; coat well.

    Place on buttered pan. Bake for about 20 minutes, stirring frequently. Do not overcook. Nuts will look as if they're not ready. Pull them out and place on foil to cool. After 15 minutes, break apart and store covered. Do not refrigerate. Makes 1 pound nuts.
