    List of Ingredients




    11/2 cups Boiling water
    1 cup Oatmeal
    1/2 cup Butter
    1 cup Sugar
    1 cup Brown sugar (packed)
    2 Eggs
    1/2 tsp. Salt
    1 tsp. Cinnamon
    11/3 cups Flour
    1 tsp. Baking soda
    1 tsp. Vanilla

    FROSTING:
    1 cup Coconut
    1 cup Chopped nuts
    6 tbsp. Butter
    1/2 cup Brown sugar (packed)
    1/4 cup Milk
    1 tsp. Vanilla

    Recipe



    Pour boiling water over oatmeal. Let stand. Cream together butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, salt, cinnamon and vanilla. Mix well. Add flour and baking soda to the oatmeal mixture.

    Bake for 30 to 35 minutes at 350 degrees.

    To make the frosting, mix all ingredients together and spread onto cold cake.

    Place under broiler for a few minutes to brown frosting.
