    Crunch Meatballs

    List of Ingredients




    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1/2 lb. lean ground pork
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 cup fine dry breadcrumbs
    1 tablespoon soy sauce
    1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
    1 ( 8 1/2 oz) can water chestnuts, drained, finely chopped
    1 cup teriyaki sauce, if desired

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a medium bowl, combine beef, pork, eggs, salt, breadcrumbs, soy sauce, garlic salt and water chestnuts. Shape into 1-inch balls. Arrange on a rack in broiler pan. Bake 15 to 18 minutes in preheated oven or until meatballs are browned throughout. Drain and discard drippings. Pour teriyaki sauce into a small bowl. To serve, spear warm baked meatballs with small woooden picks; dip into teriyaki sauce, if desired. Makes about 15 appetizer servings.
