    Charcoal Broiled Clams w/ Garlic


    List of Ingredients


    • Per Person:
    • 12 Cherrystone clams
    • Salt, 1/4 teaspoon
    • Pepper
    • Garlic , 1 clove, crushed or minced
    • Butter, 1/4 cup


    Instructions


    1. For each person put 12 cherrystone clams on a large square of heavy duty foil. Combine salt, pepper (to taste), garlic clove and butter; place on foil with clams.

    2. Bring the foil up over the clams and twist to make a tight bundle.

    3. Put on a medium-hot charcoal fire and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, shaking the package once or twice.

    4. Open a package to test. The clams should be removed from the fire the moment they have opened.

    5. Serve each person a clam bundle, in a soup bowl, with hot sourdough bread to dunk in the tasty sauce.
