Cornbread, Easy

This is a somewhat sweeter, softer cornbread
List of Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups Bisquick
- 3/4 cup cornmeal
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 2/3 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
- Combine all ingredients; beat vigorously 1/2 minute.
- Spread batter in greased round layer pan 9 x 1 1/2 inches or square 8 x 8 x 2 inches.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes. If you like, brush with butter.Yield 9 to 12 servings.
