    Shark Steaks with Avocado Butter


    List of Ingredients


    • 8 small shark steaks or halibut or swordfish
    • 1/3 cup soy sauce
    • 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
    • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
    • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
    • 1/2 cup salad oil
    • lemon wedges
    • parley sprigs
    • Avocado Butter
    • 1/2 cup softened butter
    • 1/2 cup mashed ripe avocado
    • 4 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
    • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt


    Instructions


    1. Combine the soy sauce, lemon peel, lemon juice, garlic, mustard and oil in a small bowl, blending well.
    2. Place the fish in a shallow 9 x 13 baking dish (or large zip-type bag). Pour the marinade over the fish.
    3. Marinate the fish for 1 to 3 hours in the refrigerator.
    4. To cook, place the fish on a preheated broiler pan-- or cook on the barbecue. Broil 5 to 6 minutes per side. During cooking, brush the fish often with the marinade.
    5. Garnish with the lemon wedges and parsley sprigs. Serve with Avocado Butter.
    6. Make Avocado Butter; Whip the butter with an electric mixer in a small bowl until soft and creamy. Beat in remaining ingredients. Refrigerate until ready to serve. The butter will hold for 1 hour.
