    1 pound top round or top sirloin steak
    1/4 cup soy sauce
    3 tablespoons vegetable oil
    3 tablespoons sesame seeds
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
    1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
    2 teaspoons brown sugar
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/2 cup sliced green onions
    2 tablespoons sherry, if desired

    Recipe




    Pound steak, using a meat mallet. Place steak in a large shallow dish. Combine soy sauce and remaining ingredients in a small bowl, stirring well. Pour mixture over steak; cover and allow to marinate in refrigerator 1 hour.
    Remove meat from marinade, and place on lightly greased rack or a broiler pan. Broil 4 inches from heat 4 to 5 minutes; turn steak, and broil and additional 4 to 5 minutes. To serve, slice across grain into thin slices. Yield 4 servings. (can cook on BBQ, can slice raw meat then marinate and weave onto skewers to cook on BBQ)
