    2 tablespoons salad oil
    2 pounds ground chuck
    3 cups water
    1/2 cup finely chopped onion
    3 1/2 teaspoons salt
    3 tablespoons chili powder
    4 cloves, garlic crushed
    1 teaspoon ground cumin seed
    1/2 teaspoon oregano leaves
    1/4 teaspoon cayenne
    1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
    1 tablespoon paprika
    1 teaspoon sugar
    2 tablespoons flour
    1/4 cup cold water

    Recipe



    Heat oil in a 9- or 10-inch skillet. Add meat, stir until browned. Add water, over and simmer 30 minutes. Do not boil. Add onion, seasonings, and sugar. Cook, uncovered, below boiling point 15 minutes.
    Blend flour with cold water, mixing until smooth. Add and cook until slightly thickened. 6 servings.
