Paprika Meat Balls
List of Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, divided use
- Dash of cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped
- 1/3 cup fine dry bread crumbs
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 1/2 cup tomato juice
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Cook the garlic and onion in the butter until the onion is limp and translucent.
- Mix the beef with 1 teaspoon salt, cayenne, parsley and bread crumbs. Shape into balls, 1-inch in diameter.
- Brown on all sides in the oil for twelve to fifteen minutes. Drain off the fat, reserving 1/4 cup.
- Add the bouillon cube, tomato juice, and the reserved fat to the meatballs. Cook for five to six minutes.
- Combine the paprika, remaining salt, and the sour cream and add to meatballs. Heat only until heated through--do not allow to boil. Serve over freshly cooked noodles. Yield 6 servings.
