    Pizza dough, beer

    Source of Recipe

    My own adaptation

    Recipe Introduction

I make this with my Kitchen-Aid mixer

    List of Ingredients

1 beer plus enough water to equal 2 cups (room temperature)
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    2 tablespoons sugar
    2 teaspoons salt
5 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 1/2 teaspoons dry yeast (1 pkg is okay)

    Recipe

Soften yeast in the water in a mixing bowl (the water can be warm from the tap)for 3 to 4 minutes, add the beer, the sugar, the oil, the salt and 3 cups flour. Stir until everything is well mixed. Add the remaining flour and have the machine knead it for about 5 minutes, add another 1/4 cup of flour and mix in if it is too stick. Transfer to another large bowl, which has been greased (with olive oil or sprayed with Pam), allow to rise for about an hour. Divide dough in 2. Makes two 12-14 inch pizzas.

If you want, when dough is done mixing divide in half and put each half into a gallon size zip bag (which has been sprayed with Pam on the inside), seal the bag up and put in the refrigerator for up to 5 days (take bag and set on counter for 15 minutes to 1/2 hour before making crust with it)
