Hash Brown Casserole
List of Ingredients
2 pounds frozen shredded hashbrowns
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 can cream of chicken soup
8 ounces mild cheddar (or use aged), grated
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease at 9 by 13-inch baking pan. Melt margarine or butter in a pan (I use one big enough to hold all the ingredients so I only mess up two dishes) add onion and saute over low heat for a couple minutes. Combine soup, onion/ margarine, salt, pepper and cheese. Gently mix in the potatoes and pour into prepared pan. Bake in 350 oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
