    Classic Pesto Sauce


    List of Ingredients


    • 1/3 cup olive oil
    • 2 cups packed basil leaves
    • 1/2 cup parsley
    • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1/4 cup pine nuts
    • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper


    Instructions


    1. Puree the olive oil, basil and parsley in blender until smooth.
    2. Add the Parmesan, pine nuts, garlic, salt and pepper and puree until smooth.
    3. Use with cooked linguine (around 1 pound of pasta), on grilled fish or as ingredient in other recipes.
