Classic Pesto Sauce
List of Ingredients
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 2 cups packed basil leaves
- 1/2 cup parsley
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup pine nuts
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
Instructions
- Puree the olive oil, basil and parsley in blender until smooth.
- Add the Parmesan, pine nuts, garlic, salt and pepper and puree until smooth.
- Use with cooked linguine (around 1 pound of pasta), on grilled fish or as ingredient in other recipes.
