Red Clam Sauce
List of Ingredients
- 1 cup canned minced clams
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 2 large cloves garlic, finely minced
- 6 tablespoons chopped flat leaf parsley,
- 2 teaspoons finely choped fresh thyme, or 1 teaspoon dried
- 2 cups Italian Tomato Sauce
- Salt and freshy ground black pepper, to taste
- Dash of red pepper flakes, if desired
Instructions
- Open cans of clams, set aside. Heat the oil and add the garlic. Cook briefly, without browning.
- Add clams (with liquid in can). Add parsley, thyme, and tomato sauce and simmer briefly. Add salt and pepper. Add red pepper flakes, if desired. Serve immediately over freshly cooked linguine.
