    Corn Soup


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups corn cut from cob and cobs scraped
    • 1 cup water
    • 2 cups milk
    • 1 teaspoon sugar
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
    • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
    • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
    • Chopped fresh parsley
    • Chopped green onions


    Instructions


    1. Combine corn and water in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes, stirring often.

    2. Stir in milk, sugar, salt, pepper and butter; heat thoroughly.

    3. Mix in bacon.

    4. Garnish each serving with fresh parsley and green onions. Yield 5 cups
