Corn Soup
List of Ingredients
- 2 cups corn cut from cob and cobs scraped
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- Chopped fresh parsley
- Chopped green onions
Instructions
- Combine corn and water in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes, stirring often.
- Stir in milk, sugar, salt, pepper and butter; heat thoroughly.
- Mix in bacon.
- Garnish each serving with fresh parsley and green onions. Yield 5 cups
