Green Beans- Sweet and Sour
List of Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon
- 1 cup finely chopped onon
- 1 bag frozen green beans
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- Dash of pepper
- Pinch of dry mustard
- Pinch of cayenne
- 1/4 cup vinegar
Instructions
- Cook green beans until done, set aside.
- In the meantime, cut bacon in 1/2-inch pieces pieces. Cook bacon until starting to brown; add onion and saute until onion is limp and translucent.
- Add 1 cup water and cook until liquid is reduced by 1/2. Add sugar, black pepper, mustard, cayenne, and vinegar; stir. Add cooked green beans and toss to coat. Makes about 6 servings.
