Candy Cane Cookies
List of Ingredients
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 t almond extract
- 1 t vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 t salt
- 1/2 t red food coloring
- 1/2 cup crushed candy canes
- 1/2 cup sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375*.
- Cream margarine, shortening, and confectioners sugar.
- Add egg, almond extract, and vanilla.
- Add flour and salt.
- Divide into 2 batches.
- Color one with red coloring.
- Twist red and white together to form candy canes.
- Sprinkle on crushed candy canes and sugar, mixed together.
- Bake 9 minutes.
