Our Favorite Meatballs
2 1/2lbs of meatballs (I buy them frozen from Sams club)
2 bottles of Heinz Chili Sauce (12oz) each
1 ¾ jars of Grape Jelly (12oz) each
Put jelly and chili sauce into a slow cooker. After it is all mixed up and the jelly is melted add the frozen meatballs. Cover and cook on 200 for 3 or 4 hours. Stir every hour.
Take the lid off and turn the temperature up to 350 and let the sauce thicken up and stir a few times. I just cook it till I have the sauce the way I want it 30- 45minutes longer.
Note: This recipe works best when cooked in a Nesco slow cooker. I have found it doesn’t taste the same when cooked in a crock-pot—the sauce is too runny!
